Working Hours: Basic working hours 6am - 15.30pm, 42.5 hour Per week

As a result of ongoing growth and expansion, Rainham Steel a leading UK steel stockholder requires an experienced mechanical engineer to work at our Rainham, Essex depot. The Role:

  • Reporting to the operations manager
  • Hydraulic system diagnosis and repair
  • Mechanical system diagnosis and repair
  • Electrical system diagnosis and repair
  • Pneumatic system diagnosis and repair
  • Fault finding and rectification
  • Periodic service and maintenance
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and equipment conditions
  • Varied plant and Equipment, Forklifts, Side loaders, Overhead Cranes, Saws, Drills, Shot blasters, Rebar processing machines etc.
  • Flexible to do paid overtime when necessary
  • Basic working hours 6am - 15.30pm, 42.5 hour Per week

The Candidate:

  • Proven experience in maintenance within a production environment
  • Competent in mechanical repairs and maintenance, including bearings, belts, chains, gearboxes, hydraulics, pneumatics and welding
  • Ability to communicate with a wide range of people
  • Able to work in a fast-paced pressurised environment
  • You must have a good command of the English language
  • Must be a good time keeper.
