Location: Rainham Steel Co Ltd, Althorpe Wharf, North Lincolnshire

Salary: £40,000 - £45,000 per annum depending on experience

Rainham Steel a leading UK steel stockholder requires an experienced mechanical engineer to work at our Althorpe Wharf Site, North Lincolnshire depot. Offering a competitive rate of pay, a dynamic and friendly working environment, and a secure position within an established company.

The job role is to support our Althorpe Cut & Bent operations site where we operate a variety of Cut & Bent machines including Schnell, PEDAX and MEP.

The Cut & Bent machines include the UK's most advanced automated systems.

The role will also support the OHTC's, Forklifts, Trailers use don the site.

The Job Role: (Preferable Skills)

  • Reporting to the operations manager
  • Hydraulic system installation, diagnosis and repair
  • Electrical system installation, diagnosis and repair
  • Fault finding and rectification
  • Perform both reactive and preventative maintenance
  • Periodic service and maintenance
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and equipment conditions
  • Flexible to do paid overtime when necessary
  • Basic working hours 6am - 15.30pm, 42.5 hour Per week

The Candidate:

  • Proven experience in maintenance within a production environment
  • Competent in mechanical repairs and maintenance, including bearings, belts, chains, gearboxes, hydraulics, pneumatics and welding
  • Ability to communicate with a wide range of people
  • Able to work in a fast-paced pressurised environment
  • You must have a good command of the English language
  • Must be a good time keeper.
