I am currently working alongside a nursery in Scunthorpe to seekĀ a dedicated Baby Room Leader to join their team. The ideal candidate will be passionate about working with children aged 0 - 2 years and will possess the expertise to take charge and make an immediate impact. Ideally, the candidate will be qualified to at least Level 3Ā and will have experience of leading a team.
Day-to-Day of the role:
- Oversee the daily operations of the baby room, ensuring a safe and stimulating environment for the children.
- Plan and implement age-appropriate activities that promote the childrenās physical, emotional, and intellectual development.
- Lead and mentor nursery staff within the room, fostering a collaborative and supportive team environment.
- Communicate effectively with parents and guardians, providing regular updates on their childās progress and wellbeing.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of childrenās development and care routines.
- Ensure compliance with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) standards and nursery policies.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Must be Level 3 qualified in Childcare or equivalent.
- Proven experience in a similar role within an early years setting.
- Strong understanding of the EYFS and safeguarding practices.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team and to lead by example.
- A genuine passion for working with young children and a commitment to their development.
