Tradewind Recruitment are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Behaviour/SEMH Specialist to join a School school in the Scunthorpe area. As a 1:1 Behaviour/SEMH Specialist, you will support a pupil with SEMH and challenging behaviour. You will also be responsible for ensuring he remains on task within the classroom. This is a full time role for at least 6 weeks.

Responsibilities:

  • Offering support to pupils on a 1:1 basis within and outside of the classroom.
  • Monitoring behaviour, identifying and addressing challenging behaviour.
  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with the pupil.
  • Providing guidance and support to the pupil, ensuring their welfare is protected.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience working as a teaching assistant, learning support, or working with challenging behaviour.
  • Reliability and stability for the pupil.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • The ability to develop and maintain positive relationships with students, parents, and staff.
  • A caring and nurturing personality.
  • A strong understanding of safeguarding policies and procedures.
  • A valid DBS check.
