Attention all experienced Complex Needs Teaching Assistant! An incredible opportunity has arisen to make a real difference to pupils at Primary School in Scunthorpe. We are looking for Complex Needs Teaching Assistants to join this fantastic school and support two pupils in EYFS who are due to start in March. The role provides an ideal chance for you to use your skills and knowledge to support a young learner's development. The pay for this role will be from £85 - £95 per day. This role is to start in March 2024 and there is not set end date due to awaiting SEND school places for the pupils. The hours are Monday to Friday from 08:30 until 15:30.

As a Complex Needs Teaching Assistant in this role, you will be working with the pupils with complex needs and disabilities, providing them with the one-to-one support they need to succeed in the classroom. Your responsibilities will include helping the pupil within their school day, promoting their independence, and building their confidence. You will also work closely with the class teacher and other support staff to ensure the pupil is given every opportunity to reach their full potential.

In particular a knowledge of the following would be advantageous for this role:

Manage medical needsAutismAttention AutismSensorySpeech and languageInteractive partner training.Use of a specifically designed framework (such as the Autism Education Trust Early Year Progression Framework)Social skills intervention (initially focusing on early friendship skills, such as turn taking, cooperationThe school is located in Hull and is committed to providing an inclusive and supportive learning environment for all its pupils.
