An opportunity has arisen for a qualified teacher to join a lovely school in central Scunthorpe to work in a Year 1 class every Friday starting in March 2025 until July 2025 to cover planned absences. The school is one form entry with higher than average Pupil Premium and EAL. There will be no planning responsibilities but a knowledge of how to teach Little Wandle would be beneficial.

You will have a part-time TA in your class which you will be expected to deploy effectively within lessons.

You can expect to earn a daily rate of between £130 and £150 for this role.

Responsibilities:

-Delivering lessons to a class of children using a range of stimulating and engaging techniques

-Marking work throughout the lesson and giving children feedback to check dependent on the school’s marking policy

-Differentiating lessons, bridging gaps and challenging high attainers, adapting as necessary

-Deploying any support staff effectively within the class

-Strong behaviour and classroom management skills

Requirements:

-Experience of working as a KS1 teacher, ideally with knowledge of Little Wandle

-QTS or PGCE equivalent (essential)

-Applications from both ECT’s and experienced teachers are welcomed

-DBS certificate
