What You'll Be Doing: Engineering Team Leader

  • Lead & Motivate: Manage and inspire your team, fostering a culture of commitment, discipline, and high performance within the Engineering Department.
  • Ensure Smooth Operations: Collaborate with the Engineering Manager and other Shift Leaders to ensure seamless operations and support throughout the department.
  • Address Maintenance Needs: Oversee the maintenance of process equipment, respond promptly to breakdowns, and ensure all machinery is in safe, operational condition.
  • Effective Communication: Maintain clear lines of communication within your team, across shifts, and with other departments to ensure operational continuity.
  • Manage Compliance: Oversee the Permit to Work System during your shift and ensure all ongoing activities are communicated effectively to the next shift.
  • Maintain Standards: Keep the workshop and engineering stores clean and organised, holding your team accountable for a tidy environment.
  • Document & Analyse: Accurately record all breakdown information and encourage problem-solving and root cause analysis within your team.
  • Support Development: Identify skill gaps and training needs within your team, using the PDP framework to develop team members.
  • Hands-On Maintenance: Perform electrical and mechanical maintenance tasks as needed, ensuring a safe working environment and supporting planned maintenance activities.
