Buyer

Portfolio Procurement are recruiting on behalf of an expanding business who are looking for a Buyer to join their team. We are looking for someone who has experience within the Manufacturing or Engineering Industry. It is also a must that you are willing to travel between my clients two sites.

Main Duties

• Manage and maintain strong relationships with suppliers
• Negotiate annual cost savings for the business where applicable
• Purchasing of materials and other requirements for the sites
• Good Inventory Management experience
• Excellent understanding of Inventory Management Systems
• Experience procuring metals and steels
• Excellent record keeping
• Good understanding of supply chain management

Person Spec

• Awareness of procurement practices and techniques
• IT Skills and communication skills
