Your new role Hays Procurement are excited to be working with an award-winning, local organisation for an experienced Buyer on a full-time, permanent basis. As the Buyer you will be responsible for purchasing both Direct and Indirect categories, working with key stakeholders and suppliers.

Key responsibilities include;

  • Working closely with internal teams, including sales, projects, and engineering, to ensure that our customers receive top quality equipment while securing the best value for our business investments.
  • You'll play a crucial role in refining our tender processes and procurement standards. Conducting regular tender exercises and evaluating suppliers to ensure our procurement activities keep us ahead of the competition.
  • Collaborate with senior team members, contributing to strategic projects and refining our procurement approach to align with business goals.
  • Ensure smooth and timely delivery of solutions for customers through careful planning and coordination.
  • Partnering with project managers to ensure that our internal teams have the necessary equipment and resources available when needed, facilitating efficient project execution.

What you'll need to succeedThe ideal candidate will have experience in a similar role and the experience to manage the entire procurement lifecycle, from order initiation to delivery. You will have experience in building relationships both internally (stakeholders) and externally (suppliers & customers).
