The Role:
As a Workshop Fitter, you'll be an integral part of our well-established team, working on a variety of mechanical systems and industrial machinery. Key responsibilities include:
- Stripping, inspecting, and rebuilding industrial gearboxes.
- Inspecting and overhauling industrial machinery both on & off site.
- General mechanical fitting and workshop duties.
- Fault diagnosis, service, and repair.
- Providing technical support to customers.
- Completing reports both on paper and digitally - legible handwriting and computer literacy are essential.
What We're Looking For:
- Qualifications: Apprentice-trained in a heavy plant environment or HNC in Mechanical Engineering.
- Experience: Strong mechanical background in industries such as aerospace, energy, or automotive.
- Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication, customer handling abilities, and the capacity to work independently.
- Physical Fitness: This role requires a good level of physical fitness due to the nature of the work.
- Driving Licence: A valid driving licence is essential.
