We are seeking a passionate and creative Art and Design Teacher to join a dynamic team in a well-established educational setting in Scunthorpe. This is an excellent opportunity for an individual who is dedicated to inspiring students and fostering a love for art and design.
Day-to-day of the role:- Plan, prepare, and deliver inspiring art and design lessons that engage and challenge students across a range of abilities.
- Encourage creativity and self-expression among students while teaching skills in a variety of art forms, including drawing, painting, sculpture, and digital media.
- Assess and record students’ progress, providing feedback and support to ensure academic and artistic development.
- Maintain a stimulating classroom environment that promotes learning and creativity.
- Collaborate with colleagues to integrate art with other subjects and participate in school events and exhibitions.
- Stay updated with current art trends and educational strategies to enhance teaching practices.
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent in Art and Design.
- Experience teaching Art and Design in a secondary school environment.
- Strong organisational and communication skills.
- Ability to foster a positive learning environment and manage classroom behaviour effectively.
- Passion for art and design, with a strong portfolio of personal or professional work.
