We are seeking a dedicated English Teacher to join a dynamic secondary school team in Scunthorpe. This full-time, temporary position is an excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic educator looking to make a significant impact in the classroom. The role starts at Easter and continues until the end of the academic year.
Day-to-day of the role:- Plan, prepare and deliver engaging English lessons to students across Key Stages 3 and 4, ensuring alignment with curriculum objectives.
- Assess and monitor student progress, providing feedback and support to foster student achievement.
- Adapt teaching methods and instructional materials to meet students' varying needs and interests.
- Maintain discipline in accordance with the school policies and behavioural standards.
- Participate in departmental meetings, parent meetings, and whole school training events.
- Collaborate with other English department staff to enhance the curriculum and share effective practice.
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
- Experience teaching English at secondary school level.
- Strong understanding of the UK curriculum for English.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
