Reed Education are currently working alongside a large, thriving primary school located in Scunthorpe who are currently seeking to appoint a highly motivated and experienced HLTA to join their team. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the class teacher and leading small group interventions in our KS1 and KS2 classes.

The role is to begin in as soon as possible and will be temporary initially with an option to be made permanent for the next academic year.

Key Responsibilities:

- Work closely with the class teachers to deliver lessons, ensuring that all pupils are engaged and making progress.

- Be flexible to year groups through EYFS, Year 1 and Year 2.

- Lead small group interventions to support pupils who need additional help with their learning.

- Provide cover for the class teacher in their absence, delivering pre-prepared lessons and ensuring that the class is well-managed, and pupils are on task.

- Monitor pupils' progress and provide regular feedback to the class teacher.

- Manage behaviour in the classroom, ensuring that all pupils are safe and following the school's behaviour policy.

Requirements:

- HLTA qualification or equivalent would be beneficial but not essential.

- Experience working as a HLTA in a primary school setting.

- Understanding of the National Curriculum and how to effectively support pupils' learning.

- Ability to manage behaviour in the classroom and follow the school's behaviour policy.
