Tradewind Recruitment is proud to partner with a secondary school in Scunthorpe in their search for a dedicated and enthusiastic full-time Inclusion Support Worker to join their team.

Role Overview: As an Inclusion Support Worker, you will play a pivotal role in providing pastoral care and support to students within an allocated year group. Your primary responsibility will be to assist pupils who are facing challenges within mainstream classes, providing them with the necessary support to thrive academically and emotionally. This will involve working closely with the school's pastoral team and utilising an inclusion room for targeted interventions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide pastoral support to students within the assigned year group.
  • Assist struggling pupils in the inclusion room, helping them overcome barriers to learning.
  • Collaborate with the pastoral team to develop and implement tailored support plans.
  • Maintain a proactive and dynamic approach, requiring constant movement around the school site.
  • Utilize your expertise in Special Educational Needs (SEN), particularly with conditions such as ADHD and Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH).

Requirements:

  • Experience working in a similar role, preferably within a school setting.
  • Strong understanding of Special Educational Needs, particularly ADHD and SEMH.
  • Proactive attitude with the ability to adapt to dynamic environments.
  • Enhanced DBS clearance on the update service is highly desirable due to the immediate start of this role.
