This company are undertaking the biggest modernisation programme in their history. They have build an on-site data centre, have implemented an Azure-based cloud network, are undertaking a major hardware overhaul, and are now rebuilding an entire mainframe system.

In this role you will initially join the development team optimising and integrating internal systems and reporting into a mainframe being built from the ground up by a specialist 3rd Party partner. You'll work very closely with other departments, teams, and the 3rd party to ensure this new mainframe is entirely fit for purpose whilst retaining all the functionality of the previous mainframe. Due to the need to collaborate closely, this position will be an office-based position.

The ideal candidate will be a Python Developer with commercial experience. Candidates will need a good understanding of server-side web applications, and VMA (Virtual Memory Area) experience would be highly beneficial but training and development will be provided on VMA and Linux Kernel.
