An opportunity has arisen for a Multi Skilled Engineer (mechanical biased) to join their successful manufacturing company in Scunthorpe.

THE ROLE:
The responsibilities of this role will consist of:
Provide a multi skilled maintenance service across the site, covering mechanical, electrical, plumbing and building fabrication
Provide reactive and proactive service as per requirements to all equipment and to carry out modifications and installations when required, ensuring all work is carried out to a high standard and all mechanical and electrical equipment is running to optimum performance
Carry out planned PPM on conventional rotary pulp machinery
Provide technical support/input to projects along with continuously looking to improve equipment efficiencies and cost reduction
Maintain, repair and calibrate electrical, mechanical and instrumentation plant, optimising both reliability and maintainability
Complete manual handling tasks as required and make effective use of tools and equipment provided

Working hours are Monday to Friday on a weekly rotating shift pattern 06:00-14:00 and 14:00-22:00. Must be flexible as call outs are required and overtime is paid at 1.25 of pay per hour.

THE CANDIDATE:
Experience in planned preventative and reactive maintenance regimes for heavy duty machinery
Knowledge of safe working practices on electrical/mechanical building services
Experience in fault finding, resolving issues, servicing and maintaining general building fabric work
Positive team player who also has the ability to work alone and use own initiative
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Confident, flexible approach to work, with the ability to respond to many different situations that may arise
PLC programming experience desirable but not essential
