Reed Sunderland Business Support are seeking two Medical Receptionists/Patient Service Advisors for a busy medical practice in Seaham. This role is ideal for candidates with experience in an NHS setting or private medical practice, looking to start immediately. Successful candidates will initially join on a temporary basis for up to two months, with the opportunity to apply for a permanent role thereafter.

Day-to-day of the role:
  • Manage front desk operations, greeting and assisting patients in a professional manner.
  • Handle patient appointments, scheduling, and queries via phone and in person.
  • Maintain patient records and confidentiality with high accuracy.
  • Process and manage patient data in compliance with health regulations.
  • Support the medical staff by providing necessary administrative assistance.
  • Working hours are Monday to Friday, 37 hours per week, with a 30-minute unpaid break. Hours are between 8 AM and 6 PM on a rota basis, offering some flexibility.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Experience in an NHS or private medical practice setting is preferred.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in managing administrative responsibilities.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality and adhering to data protection laws.
