Our client is a popular food manufacturer who is known across the world. They currently seek a Business Admin Apprentice to work in their Technical team and assist them in the routine testing of products, raw materials and packaging. They will also investigate complaints and track trending quality issues.
The Apprentice will work onsite at their Seaham location for 37.5 hours per week (Mon-Fri, 8:30am-5pm). The apprenticeship will last for 18 months and successful completion of the qualification could lead to a permanent role within the company.
Duties will include:
Packaging intake tests to ensure that packaging meets specification and is cleared for use. Keeping a live library of packaging will also be part of the role.
Raw material/supplier approval, risk assessments and ongoing management of raw materials.
Organising, recording and trending the daily taste panel so that any non-conformances are highlighted to the factory.
Weekly factory audit and follow-up of non-conformances.
Investigation and response to customer complaints.
Assisting with Mobile Framework (paperless QA system).
Required knowledge, skills or experience:

- GCSEs in English, Maths and IT at Grade 4 or above.
