Commissioning Technician EC&I – CUMBRIA – TEMPORARY 1 YEAR+

VGC Group Limited are looking to recruit a Commissioning Technician EC&I on a temporary 1-year+ contract for an international infrastructure group delivering the UK’s power generation solutions based in Cumbria.

You will play a key part of the team working on one of the most important construction projects on site looking to safely design and deliver requirements in line with the needs of the Client.

Rewards

  • £31.36ph PAYE – (also inside IR35 an option)
  • 42-hours per week

Accountabilities

  • Prioritizing safety above all else, striving for Zero Harm, and serving as a role model in all aspects of safety, including nuclear, radiological, conventional, and environmental safety.
  • Conducting testing activities across all stages of the commissioning process.
  • Assisting in the creation of test documentation.
  • Supporting the initiation and implementation of Field Observation Bulletins (FOBs) and Technical Queries (TQs).
  • Performing testing activities to be witnessed by third parties.
  • Managing the application and removal of Temporary Commissioning Aids.
  • Recording supporting data in alignment with test requirements.
  • Utilising completions management systems to oversee commissioning tasks.
  • Executing commissioning tasks in line with the project schedule.
  • Participating in multidisciplinary design reviews and collaborating with the engineering team.

Requirements

  • Time-served or equivalent in an engineering discipline eg: piping or electrical discipline
  • ONC preference or equivalent / or route to achieve the qualification
  • Project commissioning experience
  • Must be eligible to obtain Security Clearance and any other client security requirements
  • Microsoft suite proficient
