The Opportunity

Our client is now recruiting for an EC&I Technician at their Combined Heat & Power Plant (CHP) in Seascale. The EC&I Technician will ensure that all Electrical, Control, and Instrumentation maintenance routines, defect repairs, and projects at the plant are carried out safely and efficiently to support the 24/7 operation of the plant in accordance with corporate policies, procedures, and legislative requirements.

Although this role is for an EC&I Technician, our client will consider applications from candidates who specialize in either Electrical or C&I and will provide training to fill any gaps. You'll be supported with personalized on-the-job training, coaching, mentoring, and twice-yearly development and performance reviews to help maintain and develop your contributions and competence.

Minimum Requirements

  • Time served apprenticeship or NVQ 3 in Electrical, Instrument, or Control discipline.
  • Knowledge of instrument and control theory.
  • Basic knowledge of The Electricity at Work Regulations.
  • Understanding of Permit to work systems, risk assessment, and method statement documentation.
  • Good understanding of EC&I problem-solving techniques and ability to read single line diagrams, schematics, and P&IDs.
