We have an excellent opportunity for a PLANT INSPECTOR based in Cumbria for our Client within the Nuclear industry.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

The successful Candidate will carry out on-plant inspections/condition assessments using a variety of visual and NDT techniques.

Produce quality technical documents of inspections together with recommendations.

Help develop proposals for inspection and monitoring techniques and tooling to access difficult/harsh environments to address customer requirements.

Provide expert advice on plant inspection tools and techniques, condition monitoring and lifetime assessment.


THE IDEAL CANDIDATE

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:

ESSENTIAL:
A degree in a materials science, mechanical engineering or chemical engineering or HND/HNC with significant experience.

Demonstration of a positive attitude to safety, security and other EHSS&Q requirements.

Ability to understand and solve customer related technical issues with a pro-active and flexible approach to customer support and project delivery to ensure requirements and expectations are met and exceeded.

Excellent communication and presentation skills.

Proven experience of writing high quality technical reports capturing results and recommendations.

Ability to work effectively in a team

DESIRABLE:

A PhD in a relevant materials science or engineering based discipline.

Some existing knowledge of Sellafield reprocessing, waste treatment and decommissioning operations.
