We are seeking for a Mechanical Fitter to join our team. Mechanical fitter to work on low pressure steam system and water system (work on medium heat hot water), stripping chlofiers.

Here are the details of the position:

Job title: Mechanical Fitter

Location: Sellafield, Seascale, CA20

Type: Contract

Start Date: ASAP
Payrate: Hourly 21.27 paye or 26 CIS
Duration is ongoing with view to go full time
Shift Pattern: (Days and Times) Days on a 9-day fortnight (Week 1, Monday-Thursday 07:15 until 16:15, Friday 07:15 until 15:15. Week 2, Monday-Thursday 07:15 until 16:15, Friday off)

Key Skills:

NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering or similar subject.
Successful completion of a recognised Apprenticeship in Mechanical Engineering or similar subject.
Experience of isolating/make safe of plant equipment.
Experience/evidence of fault finding and how issues were resolved including the techniques used.
Able to use both manual and electronic information retrieval systems and able to explain types of information retrieval used.
The ability to read technical drawings, instructions and manuals.
Strong communication skills, and ability to liaise with a broad range of contacts.
Proven maintenance experience gained through working on a wide range of equipment. Examples may include pumps, motors, remote handling equipment, bearings, breaks, engines, pipework, ventilation systems, cranes, steam & compressed air systems including various ancillaries and valves/Steam traps
