Our client, a UK-based International Infrastructure Group, is seeking an experienced Mechanical Equipment Manager for their Plant in Sellafield. This role is critical in managing mechanical operations and ensuring compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory standards. Youā€™ll oversee daily operations, resource management, and documentation in close collaboration with the delivery team. Key roles and responsibilities:

  • Oversee daily mechanical activities, ensuring safety, productivity, and quality standards are met.
  • Promote health, safety, environmental, quality, and sustainability (HSEQS) initiatives and ensure compliance with Sellafieldā€™s safety standards.
  • Manage the project risk register, scope, documentation, and site files.
  • Review subcontractor documents to ensure materials and designs meet specifications.
  • Allocate resources to meet cost and schedule requirements, coordinating with delivery teams and subcontractors.
  • Produce as-built records and ensure adherence to project procedures and work instructions.
  • Attend project meetings, liaise with construction management, and support HR in team management.

Skills and experience required:

  • Senior management experience on large-scale construction projects, ideally in a joint venture setting.
  • Preferably experienced with nuclear-licensed sites.
  • Skilled in team management, resource coordination, and project compliance.
  • Strong background in safety practices and quality assurance within regulated environments.
  • Proficient in project management software and documentation.
  • Effective communicator with cross-functional teams and departments.
