Maintenance Superintendent

Astute's Power team is exclusively partnering with a leading O&M provider to recruit a Maintenance Superintendent for their CHP facility in Seascale.

Reporting to the Engineering & Maintenance Manager, you will:

• Lead the maintenance team to ensure plant reliability, availability, and asset integrity.
• Manage planned and unplanned maintenance, plant outages, and assigned projects.
• Oversee the Computerised Maintenance Management System (CMMS) to ensure effective asset management.
• Develop and implement maintenance strategies to improve reliability and performance.
• Ensure compliance with safety, regulatory, and ISO management system requirements.
• Monitor equipment performance, diagnosing issues and implementing corrective actions.
• Act as a deputy for the Engineering & Maintenance Manager when required.
• Manage contractor relationships, ensuring service agreements meet operational needs and budgets.
• Provide technical leadership, training, and mentorship to site personnel.
• Participate in the site Duty Manager / Call-Out rota as part of the incident control plan.

We are looking for someone with the following:

• HNC (or higher) in a relevant engineering discipline.
• Proven experience in maintenance management within power generation or heavy industry.
• Strong knowledge of planned and reactive maintenance processes.
• Familiarity with CMMS (such as Maximo) and asset management strategies.
• Understanding of legislative, safety, and compliance requirements.
• Experience managing contractors and budgets.
