Hays Education is working with a number of primary schools in the Sefton area who are in need of experienced Teaching Assistants to support with vacancies. We support schools with 1-1 roles, group work roles and general teaching assistant roles.
Working for Hays on the agency will give you opportunities to work in different schools, gaining invaluable experience, as well as giving you flexibility to choose your work patterns. We have both day to day work and long term positions available.

Your new role
Working as a teaching assistant is a job that changes from day to day. You might be supporting someone in a 1-1 role with additional needs, such as ASD, learning disabilities or behavioural needs. You may be supporting a group of children who need additional support, for example with reading and writing. You may be supporting in a general capacity, helping the teacher as needed with the class activities.
You will follow the direction of the teacher depending on the role, and ensure the children are at the centre of what you do.

What you'll need to succeed
You will need to have experience working with children and, ideally, you will hold a teaching assistant qualification. You must have the full right to work in the UK and be able to work during school hours (phone number removed). You will ideally be flexible to work on any day of the week and be able to support at short notice with sickness day to day cover.
