6 month contract (possibility of extension)

My client is a Tier 1 contractor based in North Wales, who is currently looking for a Sub Agent on a 6 month contract with possible extension.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Oversee the planning and execution of construction projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
• Checking design drawings and reporting any issues or inconsistencies
• Liaise with other sections of the project to ensure a smooth flow of work
• Management of Section Engineers, Site Engineers, Section Managers and Foreman
• Ensure all site activities comply with health and safety regulations
• Manage site staff and subcontractors, ensuring tasks are allocated effectively and work is completed according to project plans. Conduct regular site meetings and safety briefings
• Ensure all permits ready for site work to commence
• Write and Approve method statements and risk assessments and ensure they are being followed throughout the works
• Experience delivering either rail, civil or highways engineering schemes within a Civils environment
• Drive construction phase of the project
• Manage Quality & Environmental plans on site

 REQUIREMENTS:

• Previous experience working on heavy civil based projects
• Tier one contractor experience within the infrastructure sector
• Highways / ducting experience is a preference
• Forward thinking and will work with the team to ensure the project runs smoothly
• Degree educated in an engineering discipline OR equivalent experience
• CSCS card
• Able to produce and explain accurate plans and drawings
