OverviewWe are seeking an experienced Management Accountant to join our client’s finance team in Selby on a permanent basis. This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to a dynamic business with ambitious growth plans while driving improvements in processes and controls.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and deliver accurate monthly management accounts, including P&L, Balance Sheet, and Cashflow reporting.
• Provide detailed variance analysis to budgets, forecasts, and prior-year performance.
• Partner with revenue-generating departments to understand variances and provide actionable insights.
• Manage cashflow forecasts and oversee bank, savings, and credit card accounts.
• Ensure accurate reconciliation's of Deferred and Accrued Income.
• Support financial planning and forecasting processes.
• Oversee year-end audit processes, ensuring timely completion.
• Line manage and support the Assistant Management Accountant, conducting regular 1-2-1s to drive performance and development.
• Provide technical finance expertise on projects and ad-hoc requests.

Qualifications

• ACA, ACCA, or CIMA qualified (or qualified by experience).
• Minimum of two years’ post-qualification experience, ideally in a financial accounting role within a technology or service-based business.
• Strong technical accounting knowledge with excellent Excel and report-writing skills.
• Experience managing and developing team members.
• Proactive, flexible, and motivated, with excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
• Familiarity with robust financial control environments.

Desirable

• Experience using NetSuite or Oracle.
