Management AccountantLocation: Selby (Hybrid Working)Salary: Up to £45,000 + Benefits

Robert Half Finance & Accounting are looking for a skilled and ambitious Management Accountant to join a forward-thinking organisation based on the outskirts of Selby. This key role offers the chance to make a real impact on the business, producing timely and accurate financial reports, influencing decision-making across the business, and driving process improvements.

What You'll Do:

  • Produce weekly and monthly management accounts, offering clear commentary and variance analysis.
  • Prepare high-volume financial data reconciliations, ensuring accuracy across multiple systems.
  • Collaborate with non-finance teams to help them interpret reports and understand key insights.
  • Provide detailed analysis of transactional data, supporting business-critical projects.
  • Assist in the year-end process and annual audit, maintaining financial integrity.
  • Manage treasury tasks and customer due diligence preparation/reviews.
  • Lead and develop junior team members, including the assistant management accountant and an accounting apprentice.

What We're Looking For:

Skills & Experience:

  • Newly qualified accountant, passed finalist, or in later stages of ACA, ACCA, or CIMA qualification.
  • Solid management accounting background or experience transitioning into industry from practice.
  • Previous stock accounting experience preferred.
  • Excellent technical accounting knowledge and strong stakeholder management skills.
  • Advanced Microsoft Office expertise; exposure to Excel VBA/macros is desirable.

  • Self-motivated, proactive, and able to work on your own initiative.
  • A collaborative mindset with the ability to bring clarity and insight to finance and non-finance teams alike.
