They are now looking to recruit an assistant accountant who is keen to progress and work towards taking on a small portfolio of clients. Benefits include car parking, 31 days holiday with BH, hybrid working and study support.
Responsibilities of the Assistant Accountant:
- Strive to provide and uphold excellent client service across all aspects of the role and responsibilities.
- Preparation of year end accounts for a variety of clients including sole traders, limited companies, and partnerships.
- Preparation of VAT returns.
- Support with bookkeeping as and when required.
- Calculating corporate tax and personal tax liabilities.
- Working within a team and reporting to managers when appropriate.
To be successful as an Assistant Accountant
- Ideally you will have knowledge of accounts preparation within an Accountancy practice.
- AAT Level 3 qualified with office experience.
- Excellent communication skills
- Good IT and numeracy skills
- Ability to work to deadlines
- High attention to detail is essential
- Team player
- Good organisation skills
