Our client, a comprehensive freight forwarding and cargo handling service, offering International logistics solutions -from time sensitive Air Freight and Worldwide Sea Freight to European Express transport and warehousing, are looking to recruit an Internal Sales Executive, to be based at offices in Selby, North Yorkshire.

Main Purpose of the Role:

Reporting to the Director, the Internal Sales Executive will work as part of the Inside Sales team, to conduct existing client business development / relationship building, maximising the business potential.

Duties and Responsibilities of the Internal Sales Executive:

Working as part of a team the successful candidate will proactively build relationships with the existing clients to nurture and maximise the business potential.

  • Account Management
  • Generating & calculating freight quotations / tender documents
  • Drafting and sending appropriate sales correspondence
  • Follow up calls
  • Managing sales process through to closure
  • Ensuring that the quotes are completed promptly and are followed up to maximise conversion
  • Client visiting where required

To Be Considered:

  • B2B sales or customer service experience
  • Freight forwarding or export sales experience (ideal but not essential as training is provided).
  • Proven success of calculating and submitting quotes and tender submissions.
  • Experience of negotiating with clients and suppliers.
  • Key account management experience with proven success of developing relationships.
  • Good administrative skills.
  • Good numerical skills.
  • Good IT skills (Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint)
