Senior Data Engineer - Contract - Power BI, SQL, Excel
We are seeking a highly skilled and self-motivated Senior Data Engineer to join our team on a contract basis. This role involves working with one of our esteemed retail clients with regular international travel to Geneva, Amsterdam and Paris. This is a Hybrid position offering a competitive daily rate.
Role: Senior Data Engineer
Day rate: £350 - £400
Duration: 12 months
Location: Hybrid - York
Key knowledge:
- PBI Architecture Building
- SQL Database Management
- Databricks/Azure Enterprise/Data cloud Knowledge
Main Tasks:
- Mapping across all client reporting systems PBI/SQL/Excels/client Servers in collaboration with company
- Participate to seamless reporting capability buildings with current and future reporting systems
- Integration external sources into dbos & drive automation/simplification
- Build & enhance customized and ad-hoc company dashboards in a timely manner with availability to address urgent needs, make quick updates, and fix issues
- Proactively maintain and update dashboards, ensuring they are always running optimally and are up-to-date with the latest data ->link in with client IT (Gateways, refresh errors etc.)
- Can work closely with other departments, gaining a deeper understanding of their needs and facilitating better communication and collaboration
