About the Role:We are looking for enthusiastic and dedicated Key Stage 2 Teaching Assistants to join our team of supply staff, supporting primary schools across Selby. This role offers the flexibility of supply work, allowing you to manage your own schedule while gaining valuable experience in a variety of school settings. You'll provide essential support to both students and teachers, helping to create a positive and engaging learning environment for children in Key Stage 2.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the class teacher in delivering engaging lessons and activities tailored to Key Stage 2 curriculum.
  • Support students on both a one-to-one basis and in group settings, providing additional help as needed.
  • Encourage a positive and inclusive atmosphere within the classroom to promote student well-being and academic progress.
  • Work collaboratively with school staff to ensure consistency in support and classroom management.
  • Adapt to different school environments with ease, maintaining professionalism and flexibility.

About You:The ideal candidate will be passionate about supporting children's education and committed to fostering a nurturing classroom environment. We are looking for individuals who demonstrate patience, creativity, and a strong understanding of the primary curriculum.

Essential Requirements:

  • Previous experience working with children in a primary school setting, ideally with Key Stage 2.
  • Relevant qualifications, such as a Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant certification (or equivalent).
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build rapport with students and staff.
  • A flexible and adaptable approach to work.
  • Enhanced DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) clearance, or willingness to apply for one.

Desirable:

  • Experience in supply work or working across multiple school environments.
  • Knowledge of SEND (Special Educational Needs and Disabilities) and experience supporting children with additional needs.
