Position: Teacher of ICT and Computer Science (including iMedia)

Salary: £30000 – £46525 per annum
GSL Education is seeking a Teacher of ICT and Computer Science to join a Secondary School in Selby on a temporary basis, with an immediate start. Teacher of ICT and Computer Science Role Overview:
As a Teacher of ICT and Computer Science, you will be responsible for delivering engaging and effective lessons across Years 7 to 10. You will also cover iMedia, helping students to develop their skills and understanding in this exciting and evolving subject area. You will have the opportunity to foster a love for technology and computing in students, supporting their academic growth and contributing to the wider school community.
Teacher of ICT and Computer Science Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality lessons in ICT, Computer Science, and iMedia, using schemes of work already in place.
- Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback and support.
- Create a positive and inclusive learning environment that encourages student participation and enthusiasm for technology and computing.
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement effective teaching strategies and resources.
- Participate in departmental and whole-school meetings, contributing to the ongoing improvement of teaching and learning practices.
- Support and mentor students, fostering their academic and personal development.
Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
- Strong subject knowledge in ICT and Computer Science, iMedia experience is advantageous. Â
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Commitment to creating a stimulating and supportive learning environment for all students.
- Flexibility and adaptability to work in a dynamic school setting.
- An Enhanced DBS registered to the update service.
