We are seeking a dedicated Drama/Performing Arts Teacher to join a secondary school in Selby. This is a full-time position, starting ASAP. The successful candidate will have a genuine enthusiasm for drama and performing arts and a commitment to fostering a positive learning environment.

Requirements:
  • QTS/PGCE in Drama, Performing Arts, or a related subject.
  • An Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply for one).
  • Strong subject knowledge and the ability to teach engaging lessons.
  • Ability to build rapport with students, promoting a positive learning environment.
  • Excellent organisational and communication skills.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver engaging and innovative Drama/Performing Arts lessons to KS3 and KS4 students.
  • Inspire and support students in developing their performance skills, confidence, and creativity.
  • Prepare students for performances, assessments, and examinations.
  • Plan, mark, and assess student's progress in line with the curriculum.
  • Organise and direct school performances, helping students showcase their talents.
  • Maintain high standards of classroom behaviour and manage resources effectively.
