About the Role:

GSL Education is currently looking for a qualified Teacher of Science for a School close to Selby, North Yorkshire. This is a full-time position initially for 1 term, starting in January 2025. You should be a dynamic Teacher of Science who has a real passion for teaching and can be innovative and engaging in your teaching style.

An Ofsted graded ‘Good’, safe and inclusive school environment which fosters a sense of belonging, where equality and diversity are celebrated. A responsive approach to British Values and Social, Moral, Spiritual and Cultural issues, providing regular opportunities for students to be leaders and role models. The School have recently expanded with new classrooms and state of the art ICT facilities in place, to satisfy demand for more places.

As the successful Religious Education Teacher, you will:

  • Be a qualified teacher with a PGCE, GTP, BEd, Cert Ed or BA with QTS, and have recent experience of working as a Teacher of Science in the UK.
  • Be able to teach KS3 and KS4 Biology, Chemistry and Physics.
  • Be proven to raise and maintain attainment levels, keeping standards high.
  • Be an enthusiastic, highly motivated individual who leads by example.
  • Demonstrate good communication and interpersonal skills with all individuals, including pupils, colleagues and parents and carers.
