Taylormade Employment are delighted to be working alongside a local industry client seeking a dedicated and hardworking Yard Worker to join their team. This is a family ran business and working with a small team- the ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining a clean and organised yard environment, ensuring that all materials and equipment are stored properly.
Duties
- Perform routine yard maintenance, including cleaning and organising materials and equipment.
- Assist in loading and unloading materials from vehicles.
- Ensure all tools and equipment are stored safely after use.
- Maintain a tidy work area to promote safety and efficiency.
- Follow safety protocols and guidelines to prevent accidents and injuries.
- Report any issues or hazards in the yard to the supervisor promptly.
- Collaborate with team members to complete tasks effectively and efficiently.
- Operating Forklift Trucks and various machinery
Skills
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately.
- Good physical fitness, as the role involves manual handling and being on your feet for extended periods.
- Basic knowledge of yard maintenance tools and equipment is advantageous.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Excellent time management skills to ensure tasks are completed within deadlines.
- A proactive attitude towards health and safety practices in the workplace.
- FLT Licence
- Machinery experience
