An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Jardox Finance team as a Financial and Management Accountant.

This role will support the Finance Director primarily, and will work with our wider finance team to enable Jardox to continue our current growth path. At Jardox we believe in recruiting great potential, so if you are looking to develop, perhaps as your first step into industry, but dont yet have experience in all areas, we can provide training. We are looking for a self-motivator and someone keen to research technical areas in order to implement new processes. This role is an opportunity for someone looking to get experience with the full finance function in a successful, growing company, with potential for future promotion within the business. This will involve:

Supporting the Finance Director with the following tasks:


  • Preparation of monthly P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow Statement
  • Reconciling and reviewing Balance Sheet Control Accounts
  • Calculating and processing monthly adjustments and processing of journals
  • Reviewing of monthly stock balances and adjustments with a view to feedback and improve processes
  • Calculating standard costs
  • Monthly sales reporting
  • Ad-hoc reporting and data analysis in areas such a stock and margins
  • Ad-hoc projects into legislation changes and HMRC guidance
  • Review Fixed Asset Register and monthly processing of depreciation.
  • Assisting the wider company to make the most of SAP B1 through the creation of Dashboards and Reports (training will be provided)
  • Drafting the financial statements and preparing information for the auditors
  • Review pricing models from the commercial team


Supporting the wider accounts team in:

  • Month end sales and purchase shut downs
  • Support with review of purchase invoices
  • Support with processing payments and bank reconciliations
  • Support with payroll
  • Holiday cover in all areas as required

Personal qualities and experience:
  • Qualified ACA, ACCA or CIM
  • Great data analysis skills including simple models.
  • Either practice trained, working with manufacturing companies or experienced in a commercial setting. Fully conversant with financial accounting and able to be fully hands on within the accounts team.
  • Good IT skills proven and demonstrable expert level in Excel. Very IT oriented, experienced with downloads/exports and able to see automated solutions. Experience of SAP B1 ERP system would be an advantage.
  • Well organised and process driven, being able to develop effective ways of working
  • Self-motivated, flexible, engaged, and able to work independently

This role is full time, 8am - 5pm, or can be worked on a 32 hour a week basis. We are more than happy to discuss an element of hybrid working.
