We are currently seeking an Accounts Payable Assistant for an 8-week temporary assignment to support our busy finance team. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented individual with a knack for financial processes and a passion for efficient operations.
Day-to-day of the role:- Processing and verifying invoices and coding payment documents
- Preparing batches of invoices for data entry and entering invoices for payment
- Processing backup reports after data entry
- Managing weekly cheque runs and preparing vendor cheques for mailing
- Maintaining a filing system for all financial documents
- Ensuring the confidentiality and security of all financial files
- Assisting with the preparation of monthly financial and management reports
- Responding to vendor inquiries and interacting with vendors regarding issues relating to invoices
- Proven experience in an accounts payable role
- Strong attention to detail and ability to process a high volume of transactions accurately
- Proficient in MS Office, particularly Excel
- Excellent organisational and time management skills
- Ability to maintain confidentiality regarding financial information
- Good communication skills, both written and verbal
