Building Surveyor - Multidisciplinary Practice with a Public Sector Focus
A Kent-based construction consultancy with a strong emphasis on the public sector is seeking an experienced Building Surveyor to join their head office team.
This opportunity offers the successful Building Surveyor a varied workload, continuous professional development, and the chance to work with an innovative Managing Director open to exploring new avenues and ways of working.
The Building Surveyor's Role
As a Building Surveyor, you will work across a portfolio of mixed clients, including freeholders, developers, building managers, and public sector organisations. You will deliver a range of professional services and projects across diverse building and property types.
Key responsibilities include:
- Conducting contract administration on a variety of projects.
- Assisting with building safety works and implementing the Building Safety Act.
- Utilizing building pathology to diagnose defects and provide solutions.
- Managing and developing client relationships while identifying opportunities for new business.
The Ideal Building Surveyor Will Have
- MRICS qualification (preferred but not essential).
- RICS-accredited degree.
- Experience within a construction-focused practice.
- Familiarity with public sector projects (advantageous).
- Strong understanding of the Building Safety Act and related regulations.
