Building Surveyor - Multidisciplinary Practice with a Public Sector Focus

A Kent-based construction consultancy with a strong emphasis on the public sector is seeking an experienced Building Surveyor to join their head office team.

This opportunity offers the successful Building Surveyor a varied workload, continuous professional development, and the chance to work with an innovative Managing Director open to exploring new avenues and ways of working.



The Building Surveyor's Role

As a Building Surveyor, you will work across a portfolio of mixed clients, including freeholders, developers, building managers, and public sector organisations. You will deliver a range of professional services and projects across diverse building and property types.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Conducting contract administration on a variety of projects.
  • Assisting with building safety works and implementing the Building Safety Act.
  • Utilizing building pathology to diagnose defects and provide solutions.
  • Managing and developing client relationships while identifying opportunities for new business.


The Ideal Building Surveyor Will Have

  • MRICS qualification (preferred but not essential).
  • RICS-accredited degree.
  • Experience within a construction-focused practice.
  • Familiarity with public sector projects (advantageous).
  • Strong understanding of the Building Safety Act and related regulations.
