Building Surveyor - Autonomy, Collaboration, and Clear Career Progression

My client, a multi-disciplinary construction consultancy with a supportive and diverse team, is looking for a Building Surveyor to join their Kent office.

This opportunity is ideal for a Building Surveyor who values both autonomy and collaboration, offering a varied workload and clear progression opportunities under the leadership of an innovative MD who encourages fresh approaches.



The Role

As a Building Surveyor, you will manage a portfolio of mixed clients, including freeholders, developers, building managers, and public sector entities. You'll deliver contract administration services, conduct building safety assessments, and apply building pathology techniques to diagnose issues and oversee project delivery.



Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide contract administration services and lead on various project stages.
  • Assist with building safety initiatives and implement diagnostic skills using building pathology techniques.
  • Develop and maintain strong client relationships, identifying opportunities to expand networks.
  • Work across a broad portfolio of clients and property types to deliver successful project outcomes.


The Ideal Candidate

The ideal Building Surveyor will have:

  • MRICS qualification (preferred but not essential).
  • A RICS-accredited degree.
  • Experience in a construction-focused practice, ideally with public sector project exposure.
  • A proven ability to maintain client relationships and proactively seek new opportunities.
