Role: Technical Manager - Civil Infrastructure DesignLocation: Sevenoaks, Kent.Type: Full Time, Permanent, Hybrid (after probationary period).Salary: £60k - £70k (Negotiable)We're looking for a Technical Manager in Sevenoaks! This is equivalent to an Principal or Associate Civil Engineer in a consulting environment.This is an ideal role for a Senior Civil Engineer or Principal Civil Engineer to take their career further, taking on a technical project leadership role for large residential developments.Rewards:

Services offered include geotechnical & environmental, structural, flood risk, civil and transport, and there is a great deal of interdisciplinary collaboration.Role:Your main responsibility as a Technical Manager is to lead the delivery of projects that are assigned to you from a technical and resourcing perspective.The technical aspects involved with each project might include:

  • Flood Risk Assessments
  • Hydraulic Modelling using Causeway Flow to estimate pipe networks and attenuation volumes
  • Produce drainage strategies and detailed drainage layouts
  • Produce cut and fill analysis drawings
  • Highway drainage design
  • Incorporation of SuDS features in drainage designs, including green & blue roofs, attenuation tanks and permeable pavements.
  • Site-wide level designs and external works packages in accordance with Building Regulations Part M
  • Highways design, including estate roads, junctions and roundabouts.

The ideal candidate will have…

  • Experience in surface & foul water drainage design and SuDS.
  • External works design experience
  • Highways design knowledge.
  • Knowledge of AutoCAD, MicroDrainage/InfoDrainage/Causeway Flow.
  • Use of either Civil 3D or PDS is essential.
  • The desire to take on more responsibility.
