About the school

We are currently working with a school based in Sevenoaks who are looking for an Early Years Practitioner. The school has a co-educational Nursery with the freedom to tailor their provision to the strengths and needs of each child. Since their merger with Tonbridge School, they enjoy all of the benefits that that unique relationship brings, whilst remaining a dedicated prep school with an exceptional co-educational nursery, so that siblings can take those first magical steps on their educational journey together.

Purpose of the Post of an Early Years Practitioner:

1.To deliver a high standard of learning, development and care for children aged 3 -5 years2.To deputise for and support the Nursery Teacher3.To ensure that the nursery is a safe environment for children, staff and others4.To develop partnerships with parents/carers to increase involvement in their child's development5.To be responsible for any tasks delegated by the Nursery Teacher

Essential requirements of an Early Years Practitioner:

  • CACHE Level 3 Diploma for Working in the Early Years Sector (Early Years Educator)
  • Excellent communication and decision-making skills
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to work independently
  • Good working knowledge of the Early Years Statutory guidance
  • Awareness of trends and best practice in the Nursery environment
  • Discretion and the ability to deal with confidential information appropriately
  • Reliable, enthusiastic and flexible
