Our client is looking for a structural engineer with a passion for heritage and conservation work and refurbishment projects to help with their expanding portfolio within the conservation team. As the successful candidate you will be encouraged and supported to pursue chartered status and eventual CARE accreditation.

The role will be based at our Sevenoaks office although a proportion of time will be making site visits and inspections. There is also the option of working from home one day a week *

They are involved with heritage and conservation projects together with the partners and assisted by engineers and technicians, lead the Heritage work. It is part of the ongoing business strategy to expand our services in this sector.

The successful candidate will be an experienced structural engineer with a very strong interest in heritage and conservation. The role requires passion for collaboration with all involved in projects, assessment of historic materials and liaising with specialists. Excellent writing, speaking and sketching skills are required, with the ability to manage your workload.

The role requires excellent written and verbal communication skills, an ability to monitor and manage their workload and liaise with clients and contractors. Experience of heritage and conservation projects is essential along with good sketching abilities. The position offers excellent career opportunities within the practice and the wider conservation community. Long standing clients include Brighton Pavilion, the Natural History Museum, the National Trust and Harrods.

This opportunity offers flexible hours of working with core hours in the office between 10.00 and 16.30. Flexibility of working remotely for one day of the week is by agreement after the initial probationary period
