Our manufacturing client based in the Borough Green are a leading provider of products and materials for the building industry. They are offering an excellent opportunity for successful applicants to join them as a Production Operators on a temporary to permanent basis

The successful applicants will need to be able to work as part of a team, follow strict health & safety procedures, and operate plant machinery to produce a high-quality product.

The hours of work will a continental shift pattern of 12-hour shifts operating over complete 7-day weeks (days, nights and weekends) with the opportunity to earn overtime.

The hourly pay rate will be a flat rate of £17.81 per hour (equivalent permanent salary £38,900).

Main duties:

  • Operate production line machinery to manufacture high-quality products.
  • Monitor machinery performance and make adjustments as needed.Use operator control consoles to oversee and manage production equipment.
  • Conduct quality testing on batches to meet quality assurance standards.
  • Handle manual movement and packing of heavy products.

Person specification:

  • Experience of working within a factory.
  • Previously worked 12-hour day/night shift patterns.
  • Ideally (but not essential) experience of mixing and batching systems.
  • Ideally (but not essential) experience with automated production lines and quality testing equipment.
  • Counterbalance forklift driving experience
  • Familiarity with 5S housekeeping principles to maintain cleanliness and organization.
  • Knowledge of operator control consoles (training provided as needed).
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills, basic IT skills.
  • Used to manual handling and periods of lifting.
  • A good understanding of health & safety.

Due to the hours or work applicants will need to have their own transport or live locally to Borough Green.
