Job Title: Psychology/Social Science Teacher (1-Year Maternity Cover)
Location: Sevenoaks, Kent
Salary: Competitive, based on experience
Contract: Full-time, Fixed Term (1 Year)
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a passionate and dedicated Psychology/Social Science Teacher to join a highly regarded school in Sevenoaks on a 1-year maternity cover contract. Key Responsibilities:
- Teach engaging and inspiring Psychology and/or Social Science lessons across Key Stage 4 and Key Stage 5
- Develop and deliver high-quality lesson plans, resources, and assessments that meet the needs of all students
- Monitor student progress and provide constructive feedback to support their learning and development
- Foster critical thinking, debate, and a passion for learning within the Social Sciences
- Contribute to the department and school by participating in meetings, planning, and extracurricular activities
The Ideal Candidate Will:
- Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with experience teaching Psychology and/or Social Sciences at secondary level
- Be passionate about teaching and committed to student achievement and development
- Have excellent communication, organization, and classroom management skills
- Be confident teaching A-level Psychology and/or other Social Sciences (such as Sociology) where required
- Be adaptable and ready to contribute positively to a temporary but key role within the school
