The School:
The school is based in Sevenoaks and provides support for children in Year 5-13 who have a range of Social, Emotional, and Mental Health challenges. This includes diagnosis such as Anxiety, Autism, Depression and Trauma. Many of the pupils who attend the school have a designated Education Heath Care Plan (EHCP), which details their specific needs in terms of care and support they will have access to.
The school provides a unique and specialist environment that meets the needs and challenges that the students face. The school offers a highly specialised curriculum, which aims to help all students reach their full potential.
The school has many additional therapies to support the children including speech and language, occupational therapy, psychotherapy, play therapy, and holistic massage therapy.
Information on the Teaching Assistant role:
This is a specialist role working in an off-site provision in a specific department for children who are finding the main site overwhelming and who need a specialist bubble which provides alternative therapies. You will work alongside other specialist professionals to teach and support up to 8 students as directed by the teacher. There are many opportunities for extra-curricular activities such as horseriding, fishing, and army cadets so holding a full UK driving license is essential.
Due to the children's additional needs prior experience working with children, young people, or adults with SEMH needs or similar would be advantageous.
Requirements of the Teaching Assistant role:
- Must hold a UK driving license
- Minimum 21 years old
- Strong behaviour management skills
- Hold an Enhanced DBS or willing to obtain one
- Experience in SEMH

- 30am-3.30pm
- Term-time only
- 5 hours per week
- 21,376-23,287 per annum FTE 28,837-31,415
