Kitchen Designer

Simon Acres Recruitment are working with a well-regarded high-end bespoke independent showroom based in Kent, who are looking for a Kitchen Designer.

Salary: Paying a basic salary of £27,000, plus uncapped commission.

Working Hours: Monday-Friday, 9am-5.30pm. Saturday, 9am-5pm (1 in 4 on a rota basis, with a day off in the week).

Location: Sevenoaks / Tunbridge Wells.

The Role:

Full induction and training during the first months to learn the products and software, further training and support will be provided throughout the first six months and on-going. After training, the successful applicant will be expected to take full management of their projects from initial customer enquiry, through the design process to final installation.

• Designing bespoke kitchens, bathrooms, bedrooms and utility rooms, using CAD software (AutoKitchen).• Ability to understand the customers brief and turn it into reality, exceeding all expectations.• Handling all aspects of the design, planning and installation process, including on-site surveys.

Candidate Requirements:• Minimum of 1-2 years’ experience in designing kitchens.• Experience with other interior spaces, such as bathrooms, wardrobes etc., preferable but not essential.• Knowledge of CAD software.• Strong project management skills, being able to manage multiple projects at one time.• Passionate about kitchens/designing.• Must be able to converse with high-net-worth individuals.• High attention to detail, professional with an excellent sales acumen.• Providing outstanding customer service.• Must be personable and able to build strong rapport with clients along with the skill to close a sale.• Proven track record in kitchen design and able to provide examples of own design work.• A full driving licence with own car is essential to be able to carry out customer visits.
