This is an excellent opportunity to join a company, working in the built environment, dedicated to creating a more sustainable and inclusive society. As part of a period of growth there is a requirement for an Assistant Quantity Surveyor based on the outskirts of Sevenoaks.

The role:

  • Procurement - prepare and issue subcontract or trade packages. Assist in the analysis and comparison of subcontractor quotes
  • Main Contract - Evaluate materials on site. To assist in preparation of monthly valuation
  • Subcontract - Site measurement of different trades. Payment to sub-contactors. Assist in the preparation of sub-contactor Final Accounts
  • Financial - Competent use of company cost system. Prepare supporting information for monthly reporting.
  • Other - File and distribute documents and drawings.

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience with the construction industry would be desirable
  • IT literate including Excel. Willing to extend knowledge of software packages
  • 3 A-levels at minimum BCC grade
  • 5 GCSE's including Maths and English
  • Numerate to a high standard, able to analyse data
  • Produce accurate work and sometimes to tight deadlines
  • Must drive and have transport due to location
