**Are you a Quantity Surveyor or Senior Quantity Surveyor looking for a dynamic and rewarding career with one of the nations fastest growing House Builders?**

Our client is a fast-growing housebuilder with multiple regional offices across the UK. They have an opportunity for a Quantity Surveyor or Senior Quantity Surveyor to join their small team based out of their Kent division, in leading two large partnership housing developments, reporting into the Commercial Director.

**The Opportunity:**

This is an excellent opportunity to play a key role in the successful delivery of our exciting portfolio of residential projects in the Kent region. You'll be responsible for managing two large partnership housing projects in Kent with further private and partnership developments coming through to start this year.

With the region and the business overall, going through and exciting stage of growth, we are looking for a professional leader who is dedicated and committed to progress their career for the long term.

**Key Responsibilities **

* Cost planning and budgeting
* Procurement and tendering processes
* Preparation and negotiation of contracts
* Cost control and reporting
* Valuation of variations and claims
* Management of subcontractors and suppliers
* Risk management
* Mentoring junior members of the team

**Requirements:**

* Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying or a related field.
* Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor (or Senior Quantity Surveyor) within a residential development environment.
* Strong understanding of construction contracts (JCT, NEC).
* Excellent communication, negotiation and problem-solving skills.
* Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and relevant QS software.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* Experience in the Kent region is desirable.
