Business Development Manager - Anaerobic Digestion (Energy From Waste)

WasteRecruit is partnering with an industry leader in environmental products, technology, and installation to recruit a Business Development Manager (BDM) focused on the Energy from Waste (EfW) sector, specifically Anaerobic Digestion.

This role is designed for a technically skilled, enthusiastic, and proactive Business Development Manager with a proven track record in identifying and converting new business opportunities. This senior-level position reports directly to the Managing Director and plays a key role in shaping our sector growth strategies.

Key Responsibilities

  • New Business Development: Identify and pursue new business opportunities, including expanding into new markets, clients, partnerships, and service offerings.
  • Strategic Sales Conversion: Design and implement effective strategies to convert opportunities into successful sales.
  • Client Relationship Building: Develop relationships with new clients, assess their needs, and create tailored proposals.
  • Client Retention: Maintain and expand relationships with existing clients to support ongoing growth and satisfaction.
  • Sales Presentations & Pitches: Present technical sales pitches and product solutions to both new and existing clients.

Who We’re Looking For

  • Technical Competence: Strong understanding of Anaerobic Digestion processes and technology within the Energy from Waste sector.
  • Proven Business Development Record: Demonstrated success in identifying, pursuing, and converting business opportunities in a related industry.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present technical information effectively.
  • Relationship-Building Expertise: Adept at building lasting client relationships through a consultative approach.
  • Strategic & Proactive: Driven to seek and create growth opportunities with a proactive mindset.
  • Self-Starter with Team Spirit: Ability to work independently while also collaborating within a small team environment.
